As a facilitator, Erin worked with parents and caregivers navigating a variety of parenting issues. She also lectures to large groups such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, area schools, and local churches often focusing on how to set loving limits. The last two years she has also spent time as a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in the School of Education teaching classroom management skills.

What made you decide to go into this specialty?
I find it extremely rewarding when I get to be a part of an individual’s growth and development. As an educator, I have been able to watch as children overcome obstacles both in their academic learning and social development. My work with parents and children as well as the fact that I am a parent to two teenagers has truly opened my eyes to the struggles our society faces with identity and self-image. What is protrayed, is often not the complete picture. I believe that within the context of a safe environment and positive, trusting and empathetic relationship, individuals can more easily challenge themselves and begin to address thoughts and feelings that may be impeding their growth and development.
