What made you decide to go into this specialty?
I have been interested for as long as I can remember in how body image impacts esteem and how body ideals have been created and sustained over time. The patterns created from doubt, low self-worth/acceptance, and the desire for certainty and control in Eating Disorders are similar to those in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I feel incredibly passionate about helping others challenge diet culture messages, recognize the strength they possess, and find purpose while building trust in themselves to live a life that aligns with their values.
