Nora Hill PA-C, PhD

Physician Assistant

She/Her/Hers

The trajectory of my career in medicine has been strongly shaped by my personal yoga and meditation practice and service as a teacher of these practices. The focus in my clinical psychiatry practice is on the mind-body connection.

This includes compassion and mindfulness practices, proper nutrition and sleep, joyful movement, as well as pharmacotherapy in the creation and maintenance of overall well-being. I provide both medication management and counseling therapy to allow for thorough examination and treatment of the physiological, psychological, and social etiologies of a patient’s symptoms and appropriate use and monitoring of medical therapies.

I believe that in a world where people find true meaning, purpose, and connection in their lives, anxiety, depression, and addiction disorders would cease to exist. I believe nonlinear thought patterns, such as in ADHD, extreme sensitivity and empathy, such as in borderline personality disorder, and other defining features of other psychologic ‘diagnoses,’ truly can become a person’s greatest asset to their own evolution and to society.

I enjoy meeting my clients where they are at any point in time and respect each individual's goals of care. My collaborative, holistic, and inclusive approach to all types of patients celebrates the synergy between us as we take the healing journey to better mental, emotional, and spiritual health and thus personal growth.

I offer comprehensive treatment for a wide variety of psychiatric conditions including mood disorders (depression and bipolar), anxiety disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, and alcohol use disorder. I have a special interest in treating perinatal, postpartum, and fertility-related conditions as well.

I am a Wisconsin native, growing up in Waukesha. I moved to Madison to attend UW-Madison for my undergraduate studies, fell in love with the isthmus, and never left. I also attended UW for my graduate studies, earning a PhD in basic science research, and then my MS in Physician Assistant Studies. I worked previously in outpatient Hepatology (with special interest in concomitant Alcohol Use Disorder treatment,) and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UW and have experience in inpatient, outpatient, and IOP psychiatric settings.

I offer both telehealth and in-person sessions Tuesday – Friday 8:30am-3pm; with alternative times considered on request. My office is located within Edelweiss Behavioral Health at 725 Heartland Trail, Suite 301, Madison, WI and I accept most commercial insurance plans.
