Hi, I’m Gina Williamson, PhD.
(she/her/hers)
Gina is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with adults healing from eating disorders and trauma. Gina has extensive experience providing group and individual therapy in residential and day treatment for eating disorders and working with students in university counseling centers.
Gina views therapy as a collaborative process, where you get to be the expert on you, and she gets to provide additional perspectives and skills to help you move toward your goals. With shared humanity, warmth, and humor, Gina can help you to make changes in your life from a place of self-compassion instead of self-criticism; strengthen your mind-body connection; and remember how to trust yourself and others.
What made you decide to go into this specialty?
Early in my training, I became particularly interest in the intersection of eating disorders and trauma. For many of my clients, disordered eating behaviors serve as coping strategies in response to overwhelming or unresolved experiences. My approach integrates structured, skills-based interventions with deeper trauma work to support meaningful and sustainable healing. I find my work to be energizing, challenging, and rewarding. I truly enjoy supporting my clients in building a more stable relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves, so that they can live a more connected, flexible, and values-driven life.
