What made you decide to go into this specialty?
I have a personal connection to the disease. I have struggled and my family members, immediate and extended have also struggled and overcome eating disorders and other mental health issues. I was able to overcome my eating disorder and feel some responsibility in helping other’s to do the same. I’m passionate about female empowerment and body positivity and want every woman to feel strong, free, and confident. In a world that does everything to tell you differently, I want women to feel empowered. I think by helping others in a nonjudgemental way I can help them get to that place and continue getting there myself.
